Here we go again, another year, another struggle. I know it’s probably the day or the day before everyone goes back to work and we’re all totally skinto - but hey, why not keep the party going a little longer and hang out with us and some very nice young men and women from Ireland, Wales & San Fransisco via Airdrie.
The Winter Passing have a lot of similarities to one of our favourite bands out, Tigers Jaw - they even have a girl who plays keys and sings! This can’t be a bad thing, when you combine that with their youthful lyrics about loves lost and hope for the future, these Irish chaps and chapette provide a great live experience.

Forrest. came up and played for us (Keir) once before, with the lovely folks above, their brand of infectious pop punk, with nods to Title Fight & Brand New was just our cup of tea, it’s a real pity there weren’t more people there to see it last time, let’s rectify that - these guys are coming all the way from Wales, so we really need to give them a warm Glasgow welcome (I don’t mean headbutt them and steal their jaicket).

Bad Luck is Calum ‘Nicest Man On The Planet’ Doris’ new solo acoustic project. After leaving Flood Of Red he’s had a chance to write some really catchy rock and roll songs and we have finally coaxed him into agreeing to play a set for us. I personally can’t wait for everyone to hear his stuff live. As long as he get’s his kids book finished by the end of the year, this set promises to be a total blast.

As ever it’s free before 12, so make an effort and buy a record, a few pints or even some pizza and support Bloc and the bands.
Stuggle dudes!
Yes:
fairy lights, pink wafer biscuits, the excitement of Christmas, the sound of the birds and the rain outside my window, a shelf of unread books, the fact I’m back in lectures after Christmas, going home, nice people, french toast, The XX.
No:
Being in the rain, my laptop, 5000 word essays that cause my chest to want to implode with stress, rudeness, not being at home.
